On credentials, precisely. Passing the PE exam and holding an active Professional Engineer licence are two different things, and plenty of exam-prep sites blur them. Juan Tercero has passed the FE and PE exams. He is not presented anywhere on this site as a licensed Professional Engineer, the "P.E." designation is not used after his name, and no content here is described as reviewed by licensed Professional Engineers. If that changes, this page changes with it.
Why this platform exists
The short version: the FE is a solvable exam that too many capable engineers fail for reasons that have nothing to do with engineering. They practise on PDFs and then meet the testing interface for the first time on exam day. They study a generic bank where a civil candidate grinds through thermodynamics they will never be asked about. They pay $1,500 for a review course that costs more than the university class the material came from.
PECivilClick was built against those three specific failures: two separate question banks rather than one shared one, a CBT interface you rehearse in until it is boring, and a price below the cost of an NCEES retake.
How the questions get made
Every problem in both banks is written in house by our team of engineers, against the current NCEES exam specification — never copied from the NCEES practice exams or from another provider. Each one is then solved by a second engineer who does not see the stated answer first, its distractors are checked to make sure each is wrong for a mistake a real candidate would actually make, and its handbook citation is verified against the FE Reference Handbook rather than recalled from memory.
The banks are also re-audited after release, topic by topic. That process has caught wrong answer keys, figures that contradicted their own problem statement, and figures that gave the answer away by construction — all of which were corrected in the live bank.
