NCEES-Aligned Content Pass Guarantee 2,700+ Practice Questions
About PECivilClick

We saw what was missing in FE prep. Then we built it.

Generic platforms cover both Civil and Mechanical with the same recycled content, charge $1,500–$2,000 for it, and won't refund you if you fail. We do the opposite: discipline-specific question banks, a real NCEES-style CBT, an AI tutor that knows your exam, and the Pass Guarantee — all for less than a single retake fee.

"Every licensed engineer started with the FE Exam. Pass it once — pass it well — and the rest of your career has a foundation."

— PECivilClick Founding Principle
Our Mission

Make passing the FE the cheapest part of becoming an engineer.

The FE is the gateway from student to EIT. Eventually, the gateway to a PE license. The door to a real engineering career shouldn't be gated behind a $2,000 prep course — or a platform that treats you like an upsell funnel.

PECivilClick was built by people who sat for the FE and remember every frustration: scattered materials, practice questions that don't match the real exam, explanations that skip the steps you needed most, and platforms that cared more about your renewal than your outcome.

Our Story

Three things were broken. We fixed them.

A platform built by people who took the FE and remember every frustration of preparing for it.

Problem 1: Generic content. Most FE platforms cover both Civil and Mechanical with the same recycled bank. A Civil candidate ends up practicing thermodynamics they'll never see. A Mechanical candidate gets soil consolidation problems out of nowhere. Generic prep is the reason engineers fail.

Problem 2: Outdated CBT mockups. Half the FE failures we hear about aren't math — they're time. Candidates practiced on PDFs and web forms, then spent the first hour of the actual exam learning the NCEES interface. By the time they were comfortable, they'd lost 30 problems.

Problem 3: Cost. $1,500–$2,000 for a prep course is gatekeeping. The FE shouldn't cost as much as a college class to prepare for. And if you don't pass — most platforms keep your money and wish you well.

We built the FE prep we wish we'd had: discipline-specific, realistic to the CBT experience, AI-augmented, fairly priced, and backed by a Pass Guarantee with terms published in full.

So we built two separate question banks — one for FE Civil, one for FE Mechanical — never recycled between them. We built an NCEES-style CBT interface that follows the same testing workflow, so by exam day the UI is muscle memory. We added an AI tutor trained on FE content that knows the difference between a Mohr's circle and a Mollier diagram. We priced it from $39.99 — less than the $225 NCEES retake fee.

And we backed it with the Pass Guarantee (included with the 3- and 6-month plans): if you don't pass on your first attempt, your subscription extends free until you do. The terms are published in full rather than buried — read them before you pay, not after.

Who builds this

The people behind the question banks.

Exam advice is only as good as the people giving it, so here is who they are.

Juan Tercero

Founder · PECivilClick

Civil engineer (National University of Engineering) with a master's in construction project management from the University of Barcelona. He has passed both the FE and the PE exams, and he leads the team of engineers that writes and technically reviews the FE Civil and FE Mechanical question banks and the guides published on this site.

The question banks are not a one-person effort. Problems are written by engineers on the team, and every one is then solved independently by a second engineer who has not seen the stated answer — that second pass is what catches wrong keys before a candidate does.

One point we would rather state than let you assume: passing the PE exam and holding an active Professional Engineer licence are not the same thing. Juan has passed the PE exam. He is not a licensed PE, the "P.E." designation is not used after his name anywhere on this site, and no PECivilClick content is described as reviewed by licensed Professional Engineers. Plenty of exam-prep marketing is deliberately vague on exactly this point.

How questions get written, how they are checked before release, and what happens when one of them turns out to be wrong is documented in the editorial and technical review policy. If you find an error in a solution, tell us — that is how several corrections to the bank have started.

What we stand for

Six principles. Every product decision tested against them.

If a feature, question, price, or pitch doesn't pass these six tests, it doesn't ship.

01

Discipline-specific, never recycled

FE Civil candidates get Civil questions. FE Mechanical candidates get Mechanical questions. Two separate banks — never shared, never marketed as "comprehensive across both." That word is a red flag, not a feature.

02

Less than a retake fee

$225 is what NCEES charges to retake the FE. Our entry plan is $39.99. Our flagship 6-month plan is $119.99. The whole platform should cost less than the consequence of failing — that's the math.

03

The platform improves every quarter

New questions added each quarter. UI updates as NCEES updates. AI tutor retrained as the FE Reference Handbook updates. The platform you use today is sharper than the one we shipped last quarter — and you don't pay extra.

04

Your outcome is our outcome

The Pass Guarantee exists because our incentives should be aligned with yours, not against them. If you don't pass, your subscription extends free. We bet on the platform — you bet on yourself.

05

No inflated stats

If we say "1,150+ FE Civil questions," it's because we have 1,157. And we no longer publish a pass-rate percentage at all. We could not substantiate one to the standard we would want to be held to, so we took it down rather than leave a number up that you have no way to check. We don't combine bank counts to look bigger, we don't claim things we can't back, and we don't dress marketing copy in lab coats.

06

We listen to candidates, not gurus

The platform improves from the people using it. A flagged confusing solution gets rewritten. A reported gap in coverage becomes next quarter's content sprint. Your bug reports and feature requests land in our weekly review — not a marketing dashboard.

How we're different

Six things that distinguish PECivilClick from generic FE prep.

Specific, verifiable, and built into the product — not just talking points on a sales page.

Two separate question banks

1,150+ FE Civil questions. 1,500+ FE Mechanical questions. Built separately, mapped separately to the FE Reference Handbook v10.5. You pick one at signup — you don't pay for content you'll never see.

Analytics that name your weak topics

"Study harder" is bad advice. The dashboard names the 3 topics that will move your score the most — and updates after every session, so your remaining hours go where they matter.

Real CBT, not a PDF

An NCEES-style CBT interface designed to reflect the FE testing workflow. Same countdown, same on-screen calculator, same searchable handbook. By exam day, the UI is muscle memory — not a 30-minute learning curve.

An AI tutor that knows your discipline

Not ChatGPT with a prompt. An AI study assistant trained on FE Civil and FE Mechanical content with full handbook access. Available 24/7 — including the night before the exam, when no human tutor is.

$39.99 to start. No upsells.

From $39.99 (1 month) to $119.99 (6 months). Every plan includes every feature — no premium tier paywalls, no add-ons, no "live tutor pack" sold separately. Cancel in 2 clicks, 7-day money-back.

Pass Guarantee with no fine print

If you don't pass on your first attempt, your subscription extends free until you do. No expiration date, no "must complete X% of the course," no NCEES paperwork to forward. Email us your result — we handle the rest in 24 hours.

The numbers we'll back

What we say. What we mean. What we deliver.

Honest stats over inflated marketing. We won't add Civil and Mechanical question counts to look bigger, and we won't claim "10,000+ candidates prepared" if we can't back it. Here's what's real.
